The whole class presentation went very well. The main ideas were, 1) Effective assessment meets the needs of students, the specific art program, the classroom environment and the community. 2) Quality classroom assessment examines the product and processes, which means the object of assessment can be either a product or a process or both. 3)Preconceptions significantly impact the learning process. They determine what will be understood during the course of an art lesson or program. The team worked very well together and put ideas together to make a presentation given by 19 different people. The activity was very nice. I love when projects relate to holidays or specific things and this was the first holiday one we did. It also showed a way to assess something like making a card and how you would look at it to determine whether the goal was meet. Assessment is important to teaching in different ways, and it can be effective when used in the right way. The type of assessment taught to us by using art can also be used in other subjects as well. You must think and observe through the whole process and well as look at the product to get a full understanding of whether or not learning took place.
